Our Easter Liturgy took place today in our Good Samaritan Hall and was an opportunity for us to reflect on the passion, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ in the Stations of the Cross through an engaging and spirit-filled performance involving our drama students and musicians. Huge success at the Bede Cafe! Our Year 10 Early Commencement VET Hospitality students took over lunchtime yesterday with a special sit-down service to master their table service skills. No takeaway? No problem! Our guests loved the full "restaurant" experience. Best of all, all proceeds from yesterday’s service are going to Project Compassion, supporting a great cause while our students learn the trade. So proud of our Hospitality students for their hard work and professionalism!

More than just a portrait. Our very own David Reidy, the legendary teacher who has inspired generations of students, is in the running for Australia's most prestigious portraiture prize! One Of David’s former student Joel Coleman has captured David in a moving new portrait for this year's Archibald Prize, currently on its way to the Art Gallery of NSW. Joel and David have kept in touch for 30 years since David first fostered Joel's love of creativity. This portrait is more than just art, it's a heartfelt mission to give teachers like David the recognition they truly deserve. "I wanted to increase the recognition of teachers through an artwork and that was the way I thought to do it," Joel said. We are all incredibly proud of both David and Joel! Harmony Day at BPC: A total feast for the senses! From the kitchen to the stage, the BPC community brought the magic on Wednesday. Huge shoutout to the students and teachers who shared their cooking skills, the talent was unreal and choosing winners was nearly impossible! Between the incredible food and the fun filled dances, it was the perfect way to celebrate the diverse cultures that make BPC so special. Well done to our winners and everyone who joined in!

On Sunday evening, four dedicated BPC staff members lived out the spirit of John Bede Polding, taking the Vinnies Van into the communities of Mt Druitt and Parramatta. Through simple yet powerful acts by providing sandwiches, snack packs, and warm beverages—they embodied our commitment to Faith in Action and the pursuit of social justice. This outreach was strengthened by the generosity of our College community. Staff and Year 12 students contributed essential items including toiletries, socks, underwear, and blankets as part of our Give for Good initiative, ensuring that those most in need were supported with dignity and care. In serving others, we answer the call to walk alongside those on the margins, just as John Bede Polding envisioned building a community grounded in compassion, service, and justice. The Feast of the Annunciation - TODAY! Today on March 25th (exactly 9 months before Christmas), the Church celebrates the Feast of the Annunciation. The Annunciation is the special moment when the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and told her that she was going to give birth to the Saviour of the world, Jesus. Though puzzled and afraid she said a wholehearted “Yes!” to God’s will for her life. We remember the Annunciation every time we pray the Angelus together. It is an exciting moment to remember, one where humankind found out that God in his humility and love for us was to become a man and make the ultimate sacrifice in order to offer us eternal life. Mary, the mother of Jesus. Pray for us. Attached is the artwork of the Annunciation created by our 2025 Year 12 student, Rhiannon Moss which is displayed in our Our Lady Help of Christians Chapel

700+ Unite for Project Compassion Big Water Walk
More than 700 students and staff from 23 schools across Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) came together for Caritas Australia’s Big Water Walk in support of Project Compassion. Beginning at Parramatta Park, students carried buckets of water along a 4km route, gaining a glimpse of the daily journey faced by people in developing communities, especially women and children, in search of clean water.

St Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland, lived in the fifth century and is remembered for courageously sharing the message of Christianity with the Irish people. His life is a powerful reminder of faith, bravery and living the Gospel in our everyday actions. On Tuesday, the BPC community came together to celebrate by purchasing temporary tattoos, ribbons and face paint for a gold coin donation. All proceeds go directly to Yarang House through Catholic Earthcare, an environmental initiative of the Catholic Church in Australia operating through Caritas Australia. Catholic Earthcare promotes caring for our common home as an expression of Christian faith and social justice. A special thank you to our Year 11 and 12 volunteers who brought creativity, energy and enthusiasm to the day, we couldn’t have done it without you!
