Bede Polding College had a very successful year the 2023 Hawkesbury Show on Friday to Sunday, May 29-30.
The students shrugged off the wet weather of the weekend to bring home plenty of ribbons and awards, along with a few top honours.

Last week, Year 10 and some senior students attended the Greater Western Sydney Careers Market, held at the Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre. Students were able to engage with 190 exhibitors including universities, specialised colleges, Armed Forces, emergency services, Apprenticeship Training Organisations, TAFE, Cathwest, sports programs and large corporations looking for school leavers to join their teams. Today, Year 12 Legal Studies students ventured into town to The Downing Centre, where they were lucky enough to interview a District Court Judge and sit in local and district court hearings. The students enjoyed seeing the real world application of their studies and the law in action!

On Friday, a group of Year 9 and 10 students travelled to West HQ for a day of faith formation with Catholic Youth Parramatta. The day included prayer, music, icebreakers with students from other schools, and talks from international speaker Chris Padgett. Chris spoke about how God loves each of us, and how each of the students have value and purpose. A great day for students to have fun and connect to their faith!

Congratulations to our Year 8 artists, whose bodies of work are currently on display at the WRV Art Space: Pop-Up Gallery at the Windsor Riverview Shopping Centre!
