On the 10th of May, the Year 7 cohort headed out on their HSIE excursions.
The Geography students went on an adventure to Katoomba where they explored the fun of Scenic World and were able to experience an Aboriginal cultural presentation.
The History students visited Sydney University where they learnt about ancient historical artefacts and even had the chance to handle some themselves!

🎶 Bede Polding Shout-Out! 🎶 We’re thrilled to celebrate one of our own – Lachlan Cwojdzinski (Year 11) – who has been selected to attend the prestigious CMAA Academy of Country Music in Tamworth this July! 🌟🎤 Lachlan’s musical journey began with a guitar at age 8, and in just over a year of singing, he’s already making waves in the country music scene. After performing at the Tamworth Country Music Festival earlier this year, he applied to the Academy and was officially selected in May – but had to keep it under wraps until their announcement went live recently! The CMAA Academy is Australia’s leading program for emerging country music talent, offering incredible mentoring from top artists and industry professionals. 🎸 This is a fantastic personal achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder. Yesterday, our College community came together in the Good Samaritan Hall to celebrate our Annual Polding Mass with Fr Adam Carlow from St Monica’s Richmond Parish. This special event marked a time of reflection, gratitude, and unity as we honoured the life and legacy of our Patron, John Bede Polding. A heartfelt congratulations to all our Bede Polding Award recipients, five students from each year group, one current staff member, and one alumni, who consistently embody the values of service, compassion, courage, and faith in action. Your everyday actions truly reflect what Bede Polding College stands for. On Wednesday, the 18th of June, our Senior Boys Rugby League team attended the 2025 Cochrane Cup at North Parramatta. The boys were excited to pull on the Bede jersey once again and ran out with plenty of gusto. First up was MCHF, who were a bigger opponent, but the team was able to come away with a 10-6 victory. Strong running from Blake.V in the middle and desperate defence from Jesse.H at the back were crucial in this tight contest. Next was a formidable opponent of Gilroy College, and the boys came away with a 10–6 win with a try on the buzzer. A short side raid from Kye.P, Noah.B and Harry.L led to a beautiful game-winning try in the dying seconds. This got the boys into the final against MCHF once again, where they quickly got out to a 6-nil lead. Thanks to some tough goal-line defence, the team was able to hold on and come away with a 6-4 win. The boys advance to play in the Sydney City Cup later in July. #bedepoldingcollege #SouthWindsor #blighparknsw #cspd
